about erica

Hi there!
I am a communications consultant by day and a yogi at all times. I came to yoga as a student in 2006 seeking stress relief from the pressures of my consulting career and found it as soon as I extended into my first warrior pose. Yoga has helped me not only cope with work, but with a number of health challenges associated with having polycystic ovarian syndrome, sleep apnea, and carrying an extra 100 pounds of weight on my body. With the help of yoga and the support of her doctors, I made it to the other side, but did so with the realization of the power of yoga and the role it played in my quest for better balance with my consulting career, a quieter mind and ultimately better health. This conclusion led me to earning my500-hr teacher certification from Faith Hunter Yoga so that I could bring what I've learned to others while helping them have a good time too.
In my classes, students can expect to have fun while receiving one-on-one coaching, encouragement from other students and affirmation throughout while also actively moving through dynamic and challenging asanas. My teaching style emphasizes self-love, individual growth, and community in a safe learning environment. I juggle my passion for helping women discover yoga and make it a permanent part of thier self-care with my love of doing strategic communications consulting at an international consulting firm. I am registered with the Yoga Alliance and the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
